This site hosts get-iplayer packages for Raspbian on the Raspberry Pi, including backports of
- ffmpeg (and x265) for Jessie only
Oct 2017: Updated for combined Stretch/Jessie compatibility
In a complete U-turn I've added an ffmpeg package to enable this repository to continue to work with Jessie, as well as actively support Stretch. But...
For both Jessie and Stretch please re-run the install script below. (It's not sufficient to update your apt sources to point to stable, the repository signing key has changed too.)
rtmpdump is no longer packaged here for raspbian since get-iplayer no longer uses it, and ffmpeg and AtomicParsley will not be updated again. (They work ok for Jessie, and Stretch already includes more recent versions of both).
Sep 2017: Updated for Stretch / Jessie Packages Retired
Jessie is no longer supported - please re-run the install script below. (It's not sufficient to update your apt sources to point to stable, the repository signing key has changed too.)
ffmpeg and rtmpdump are no longer packaged here for raspbian since Stretch includes a recent version of ffmpeg, and rtmpdump is no longer used by get-iplayer. AtomicParsley has now almost caught up in the debian respositories, so no further versions will be published here.
To install the repository, get-iplayer and its dependencies, paste this line into a terminal window:
